Revealed: Documents show MP told there is "no funding available" for Ipswich Northern bypass

In a January 2026 meeting, Jack Abbot MP was told by a Department for Transport Minister that there would be no money for any Northern bypass project before the next general election.

A Suffolk MP has been told there is no funding available to support the development of any Ipswich Northern bypass proposal, should one be put forward, before 2031.
