New data shared by a government department, has revealed a dramatic fall in commercial animal imports into the UK over the last five years.

Data published by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), has shown that the number of dogs being brought into the UK has decreased by over 65% since 2020, hitting its peak in 2021 during the height of the pandemic, before rapidly reducing the following year.
